Temporary Shelter Solutions for Rohingya Refugees

BAHAR has made critical contributions to address the humanitarian crisis faced by 1.2 million Rohingya refugees residing in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. These refugees endure extremely harsh living conditions due to overcrowding, inadequate shelter, and vulnerability to severe weather.

To improve their circumstances, BAHAR has constructed 350 temporary shelter solutions, offering more secure and durable protection from harsh weather conditions like heavy rains and cold. These shelters are designed to provide better living conditions, helping reduce some of the risks associated with the unstable, overcrowded environment in which the Rohingya live.

Through these infrastructural improvements, BAHAR aims to enhance the safety and well-being of the Rohingya, ensuring that they receive essential support during this prolonged humanitarian crisis. This initiative highlights BAHAR’s commitment to sustainable community resilience by prioritizing long-term, secure solutions that improve living conditions for vulnerable populations in emergencies.

By focusing on immediate shelter needs and building a foundation for further humanitarian efforts, BAHAR is crucial in mitigating the hardships displaced communities face.
