Seasonal Support Program
In Bangladesh, where approximately 8% of the population lives below the poverty line, access to basic necessities remains a significant challenge. To address this issue, BAHAR annually provides essential Non-Food Items (NFIs) to the most vulnerable communities. During the winter months, BAHAR prioritizes distributing blankets and warm clothing to those in urgent need, particularly in urban areas and the northern regions of Bangladesh, where temperatures can drop significantly.
Additionally, the festive occasion of Eid ul-Adha presents both joy and challenges for many, especially for Rohingya refugees and underprivileged communities. To spread joy during this important celebration, BAHAR organizes a special Qurbani Community Sharing Initiative, providing meat and other essentials to those who may find it difficult to partake in the festivities.
Through these seasonal initiatives, BAHAR aims to positively impact the lives of over 10,000 individuals, ensuring that vulnerable members of society receive the necessary support during critical times. These efforts reflect BAHAR’s commitment to alleviating hardships and fostering a sense of community among those facing adversity.
